Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults

If you are considering full initiation in the Catholic Faith, or, if you have already been baptized Catholic, and would like to complete the sacraments of initiation as an adult, our RCIA (Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults) program here at St. Matthew can assist you in this process.

Our first session takes place on Thursday, September 27 at 7:00pm in the Parish Center. We have sceduled 16 class sessions as well as additional rites throughout the year to culminate in initiation at the Easter Vigil for those who are not baptized or who are baptized in another faith. Those baptized Catholics who are preparing for Eucharist and/or Confirmation attend classes also, but sacraments are scheduled on separate dates to be announced.

You may register in the parish office or access the forms online. Please call the parish office for more information at 951-737-1621.

Bible Study News

This Fall we will be studying the "Spirituality of Paul" in an 8-week session staring Monday, September 17 at 7pm. Explore key biblical passages from the early church's most influential evangelist and discover the rich spiritual tradition of Paul that continues to influence believers today.

The first meeting we will watch the recently released motion picture "Paul, Apostle of Christ" to get a feel for this amazing man and important figure in our faith tradition. Then, each week for 7 weeks we will read and answer questions about this fascinating man and his message. If you are dropping off your youth for their Monday night classes, stick around and enjoy some interesting discussion with your fellow parishioners.

The study will cost $20 for a book set. For more information or to reserve a book set call or text Pam Fischer at 951-205-3353 or email
