Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults

If you are considering full initiation in the Catholic Faith, or, if you have already been baptized Catholic, and would like to complete the sacraments of initiation as an adult, our RCIA (Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults) program here at St. Matthew can assist you in this process.

Our first session takes place on Thursday, September 21 at 7:00pm in the Parish Center. We have sceduled 16 class sessions as well as additional rites throughout the year to culminate in initiation at the Easter Vigil for those who are not baptized or who are baptized in another faith. Those baptized Catholics who are preparing for Eucharist and/or Confirmation attend classes also, but sacraments are scheduled on separate dates to be announced. Also, any Catholic wishing to update his or her faith is welcome to participate.

There is a fee which covers resources and supplies. No one is turned away if unable to pay.

You may register in the parish office or access the forms online. Please call the parish office for more information at 951-737-1621.

Bible Study News

Where do we turn when our hopes are dashed, when we look at best-laid plans and see only shattered dreams? "Season of our lives - Dashed Hopes" offers fresh perspectives on Jeremiah's plans for a "future of hope", Jesus' agony in the garden, and Isaiah's promise of a way in the wilderness.

This study offers hope for those wondering what comes next when life feels broken. This study is from the "Alive in the World" series from Little Rock Scripture series. It is a new, informal format that really encourages personal reflection and small group discussion in which we can share our experiences.

We will meet starting Tuesday, Oct. 3 for four consecutive Tuesdays at 7pm in the church. The cost is $10. Registration information will be coming soon. Questions? Call Pam Fischer at 951-205-3353.
